Simple Garlic Bread Spread

I'm going to keep it short and simple today. Every time I make any type of pasta, my kids insist that I make garlic bread. Now, I've tried to change up the recipe and make it different ways, but I always come back to just three ingredients for the spread.

All you need for a great tasting garlic bread spread is grated Parmesan cheese, chopped garlic, and unsalted butter. Super simple and most of us already have these ingredients on hand.

After mixing up all the ingredients, spread onto sourdough bread.
**This is a thin layer of spread. It will be too salty if you spread on too much**

Broil till spread turns golden brown.
**You have to keep an eye on these because the spread will burn very quickly**

Simple Garlic Bread Spread

Ingredients

1/2 cup softened unsalted butter (leave out till it reaches room temperature)
1 1/2 - 2 teaspoons chopped garlic (add 1 1/2 tsp. first and add more if you like)
3/4 to 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (you can grate fresh Parmesan, but I just use bottled)

Directions

1) Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Consistency should be a thick grainy paste.
2) Spread onto sourdough bread.
3) Place bread under broiler. Broil until spread turns golden brown.
